I made a batch of the Trail Bologna and all I can say is WOW. I process all my own whitetail deer. I can it, make steaks, roasts, burger, backstraps, jerky. This is the first time I have tried Con Yeager Trail Bologna kit and it may be the best use of deer I've done. I did 5lbs. of extra lean venison burger & 5 lbs. of ground pork. Followed the instructions to the letter and did the Oven Method. It turned phenomenal. I will be making more of this. Next batch I may try it in the smoker.

Good Flavor. Cooked mine using the oven method and it turned out great. I might add a little hot pepper next time I do this. If this had the large 2 or 2.5in casing I would give this 5 stars. Too much handling using the small casings.

I have tried other brands of sausage mix,and was always disappointed. This kit was a gift from my brother in law, he has used it with great results. I was surprised how GREAT this bologna turned out. the best i have ever made. I made it with 100% deer meat, no pork or beef added,and it is the best i have ever tasted. Wife even likes it.

I have tried 3 other brands and con yeagers flavor is enjoyed most by my friends and hunting buddies!
I usually do 7# venison to 3# boston butt ground.
