1. Skirt Steak
• Well-marbled and full of flavor.
• How to Tenderize: Marinate with Black Nugget (as directed on package) or your acidic ingredients (lime juice, vinegar, etc.) to break down fibers. Cook quickly over high heat and slice thinly against the grain.

2. Flank Steak

• How to Tenderize: Use a marinade with acidic elements or Con Yeager’s Black Nugget (as directed on package) and cook to medium-rare. Always slice thinly against the grain for best texture.

3. Top Round (London Broil)
• Economical and adaptable to marination.
• How to Tenderize: Marinate for several hours or overnight, using our Black Nugget marinade (as directed on package) or your favorite acidic marinade. Broil or grill quickly and slice thinly.

4. Hanger Steak
• Known for rich flavor.

5. Chuck Steak
• Good marbling adds flavor.
• How to Tenderize: Ideal for slow-cooking or braising in a flavorful liquid. Can also be marinated and grilled if sliced thin. Use one of Con Yeager’s excellent marinades, such as Black Nugget, and use as directed on package.

    Eureka !! I found it.

Posted by Gene Fleming on 10th Jul 2017

Local butcher has meat marinated in this and when I asked one of the employees what's in it, the guy said he didn't know because they mixed it up from powder when they needed it. looked online for it and found the Con Yeager site. I got a small package first and yahoo, it is what our butcher uses. I ordered 2 of the large packages. This stuff would make dog poop edible. The wife and I love it!

Great product - needs better instructions

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Nov 2015

It's a great steak marinade, like no other. But the directions were to combine 1 package and 2 lbs of water (to marinade 40 lbs of meat). I inquired through the ConYeager website about mixing directions for smaller quantities using more kitchen friendly terms than water by the pound and how to best store the unused marinade mix. Weeks later I am still waiting for a response.

    The best marinade

Posted by Laura on 24th Jul 2014

When Giant Eagle quit using this marinade we ask who the manufacture was, so we could order it ourselves. Big mistake Giant Eagle this is the best flavor marinade and a lot of customers are disappointed.
